To me it looks like it´s gone to his head a bit. It´s a tough balance as we don´t want to push that bravery out of him but also he has to get his head up.
Learning to keep things simpler is one of those things that sometimes comes with more experience too.

Maybe there is an outside chance that Chambers won’t immediately head out on loan. Iraola seems to like him.

He’s showing a certain amount of versatility here.
Anyhow Rio wants to win all the big trophies this year.
Realistically, will he keep playing at CB though? Apart from VvD we don’t deal with high ball well.
He’s just pretty one dimensional at this stage of his development. It’s an incredible dimension and he will give most FBs hell with it, but right now option 1 through 5 in his brain are all “receive the ball, slow the defender down then try to beat him.” It means even if he does choose to pass it, any momentum has gone. If he can get his head to “pass first” and start processing that before he gets the ball, his skill on the ball will make him devastating in those moments he decides running with it is best.
