In terms of depth or strength of the starting XI? A lot of fans prayers have been answered in trimming down that midfield which now paves the way for a few of the younger guys to showcase what they can do. I suppose depth in other areas can always be improved, other than at LB the defensive options donât fill me with the utmost confidence, itâll take some time for the new team to gel and sure theyâll be a few sticky patches along the way but all in all feeling optimistic and relaxed for the season ahead.
Just think weâve lost a ton of leadership.
Mac is the only one prem proven, Lavia is young and was per of a very poor Southampton side.
I think naturally it will take Dom time to settle as it does for the majority of foreign players.

We are significantly better. Dom, McAlister and Lavia (if we get him) are individually huge upgrades on anyone we had last year.
But⌠as a team we probably wonât be a coherent unit until the club has a consistent run of around 8 to 10 games playing roughly the same squad.
I wouldnât be surprised by an inconsistent and slow start. But I expect a strong 2nd half.

I donât like the way we do those long training videos. Get about 10 seconds of zoomed in clips of our players walking about then cut to the presenters chatting shite.
