“Klopp Bombshell”

Ex player hits out at Klopp tactics

I liked the interview from Curtis, as under Jurgen, last year we didn’t control games enough, hopefull this year changes that, but only time will tell.

Also with it being more controlled hopefully we do less recovery runs and results in less injuries

Its maybe not so much that we did not control games enough, as it is about the focus of the build up. I think that there will be more interplay in MF as opposed to breaking quickly from MF.

For me we didn’t control games very well last season.

Also, did you ever see the interview with Trent, where he said that the boss didn’t mind in certain situations our player giving the ball away as it sometimes encouraged the opposition to break shape and attact us/commit players forward.

This was eye opening for me as it explained why we sometimes didn’t control games so well.

Wrong thread, should be unreliable rumours.

Didn’t like Jones’ interview, but maybe he’ll mature also in that aspect if he’s here long enough.

This gives me Barcelona playing those dirty games to get Fabregas when Spain won the title vibes. Take Adrian’s last year’s salary off him.

:joy:

Now it makes sense why we conceded first so many times last season. Unnecessarily putting us under pressure.

I wish I had the link but it was the 1st time I’d heard any of our players say it.

It’s odd, as I vaguely recall it being mentioned a few times before, that we were fine with losing the ball in particular situations/locations as that would mean that we could win it back but in a better position. I think it was in the second half of the season that I saw this.

I thought I had heard, read this somewhere a few years ago…perhaps as early as when Klopp joined us.

Love Curtis’ mindset, new dawn for him. Also like the frankness and honesty.

I love it that players like Curtis and Elliot have been given all opportunities to succeed in a top club. Many top clubs seek stylish and famous names, flavour of the month. Players like Curtis are now being rewarded for honest hardwork over flair and skills, not that he doesn’t have those. I still see him as our 3 best starters in midfield alongside Mac and Dom.

No it was an interview towards the end of this season with Trent
