I blame myself! Think I gave it the wrong information LOL. Lewis seems to be the expert on our youth teams so tried to use all his tweets as one !
Heās an interesting player - has an tonne of talent but Iām not sure where his best role is yet. I wouldnāt be surprised to see him kick on a level or two though and suddenly be in conversation for a first team debut. Equally he could just drift along and fade out. Heās right on that line.
Everyone can play right back, right? ![]()
But what about Ndiaye and Ndukwe ā could either of them contribute anything to the first team right now?
With Jaquet pretty much confirmed as a starter, I think we probably wonāt be adding any new center backs. But with only Leoni and Gomez as backup, it still feels thin.
Yeah I agree I think itās thin. Havenāt seen Ndukwe yet and Ndiaye has only played a little bit and itās not like he was miles ahead of everyone else and clearly ready to jump into the first team.
Iām hopeful we will be bringing in at least one other player as some experienced cover. Even if it is a Ragnar Klavan type.
Iām hoping to see more of Kyle Kelly this season. Heās gone under the radar a bit because of his bad injury but heās back fully fit and at the end of last season was starting to show again what the club was excited about. Heās a very athletic DM who reads the game very well and works hard. He just catches the eye and hopefully he can push on. Would be great for him if he went to the US
why so? What would he learn in the US which would be better than playing in Europe?
He means on the 1st team pre-season tour.
shit sorry, I am trying to catch up on the forums and overlooked the context. that makes complete sense.

Donāt know where to put this.
Understand Liverpoolās head of academy recruitment Chris Dowling is set to leave the club. #LFC

I see Kyle Kelly has gone to National League Forest Green Rovers on loan until Jan, which probably explains why he didnāt get to go on the US on pre-season tour. Thatās a really good move for Kyle at age 20 because heās missed a lot of football through injury but came back at the end of last season and looked really good in the U21s. He needs game time badly and if he can get regular outings for FGR in a competitive league itās way more useful than the U21s.
