Really? Again I think you’re vastly overrating the value of a club whose basis is just that they buy all the superstar players they can spend on. “Fans” of those clubs would just find another club to glory hunt. We’ve seen it with Chelsea before.

I got as far as reading the summary on the PL website and it’s apparently reviewed on an annual basis.
You can’t think mass cheating and then doing all you can to prevent the league from conducting their investigation will be viewed as fit and proper.
ManUre too, with their “ability to do things in the transfer market that other clubs can only dream of”.

millions of people are going to be disappointed with the punishment and outcome of this. there will be no stripping of titles, no relegation. just a fine and possibly point deduction. the last few years have shown that different rules exist for different entities. the same rules do not apply to everyone, they are only applicable depending on who you are. there is too much money and politics in this for city to be severely punished. look how sky sports has been reporting it and it will give you an idea. its like bbc/cnn reporting on the gaza genocide. very abstract and almost as an after thought. why? well sky has a lot of ventures with the UAE and involves a LOT of money and so too does the British gvt… so folks prepare to be disappointed. different rules for different folks

They will have a points deduction it’s already a given considering what happened to Everton and Forest.
It really should be enough to relegate them but it probably isn’t.

I think whenever this is formally announced will tell us a lot about how the powers at be are going to treat this situation. I don’t remember exactly the timeline but the Everton penalty was announced at the same time as the charges? If I’m remembering correctly they had to work their appeal after the initial 10 point deduction was announced.
If the official announcement comes out with no notice of penalty and we hear nothing for weeks or they defer sanctions until after City’s appeal is heard I think we will all know this is going to amount to a slap on the wrist.

They’re currently working out what’s the least punishment they’ll get away with giving.
They’ll figure that out based on the level of public opinion/outrage over the next few weeks.

No point not having a points deduction to be honest. They won’t be able to implement another if they don’t implement one here. What that is who knows but they will have to make one that satisfies.
Otherwise clubs will start to do whatever, they will lose control of it and you’ll end up where we were and what they wanted to control.

That’s why one will happen. I don’t think Noel has a clue and I don’t think Andy Burnham is in any way involved.
They won’t be removed from the football league but they will get one.
Also the UAE aren’t in a particularly good place to make this an issue. They need NATO supplies against any Iranian attacks. I think there is more important things for them to care about.
