Of course they can, hence the bit about the price they are spying for lawyers etc…they are basically saying this is what we are paying and it’s costing us x amount…you will have pay us 5 X’s as much for us "to lose "

I think the end game is for a new thing to emerge, circumventing Man City and any other teams who do not wish to comply with watertight, fairer rules.
Man City have bottomless funds, and there will always be lawyers to take money and obfuscate and fight on for them. It’s a joke. Even if the Prem keeps investing millions in legal fees and fighting Man City head on, they do not have bottomless pockets and there is a limit.
Ideally the Premier League kicks the can down the road for this latest case, doesn’t comply, and then finds a way to time bar it. 
And in the meantime the 115 charges come to the courtroom.
Ultimately a new thing will emerge. It won’t be perfect, but it will be fairer, and Man City will hopefully be on the outside looking in.

If they use the FA Cup loss to United to support their case that the deck is stacked against them, I fear they will win. Unfair!

Hang on; I thought that City’s lawyers had incontrovertible evidence to prove their innocence. If they believe that the case is dragging on, why don’t they just provide this information and bring things to a close?
