Manchester City* - 130 charges (and counting...)

Congrats to this operation for their most recent purchase of the PL trophy
Was it buy 1 get 2 free this season, with the CL and FAC to follow?

I don’t know a single happy Man City. They’re some of the most overtly angry people I’ve ever met because they want recognition, praise and plaudits but none of the criticism that comes with how they got there in the first place (or have stayed there).

Don’t care that we finished 5th, or that they’ve won so many trophies in recent years, I wouldn’t swap places with them. They’re miserable.

You’ve never met any Evertonian’s then?

Yeah but at least they have cause to be miserable.

:fu: City & Haaland

Man Utd and Inter 44/1 double.
Felt dirty betting on the mancs, but considering who they’re playing and the potential resulting nausea all over the media I feel justified.

So he isn’t as good as Salah

He isn’t good enough to lace up Salah’s RIGHT BOOT!!!

Presumably, he is a replacement for Gundogan. A very solid option, but maybe lacks the attacking guile of the German. But a total own goal for Chelsea - spend lots of money to get worse and replace good players with more expensive lesser players.

Yeah, different styles in an attacking sense, but still a pretty good replacement (could even allow City to sell Phillips). Kovacic will never have the ability and nous in the final 3rd as Gundo. But he will provide very good quality as more of a proper #8. Helpful, as Bruyne is also in a certain age and often playing more offensive, to connect with Haaland.

It’s absolutely incredible how bad at transfers Chelsea are.

Gutted. One player I would have loved to have.

My concern with him would be his niggling injuries. Misses a lot of games.

Man City can afford to bring in experienced players that are a bit older for a year or two - and if they end up injured it’s not a massive blow to them. They spent £50m on Philips - he’s not played, and City are on for a treble.

We don’t have that luxury, especially right now. We already have Thiago, Fab and Hendo as the older, experienced, ones, and their fitness records are not that great. Now’s the time to add players that are coming into their primes, and ideally are strong and quick.

Looks like that oil cash…sorry profits from ticket sales and legitimate sponsorship, is going to spent again.

We should be using Leipzigs interest in Cavalho to get this guy in.

Agree…but late last year the transfer fee being discussed was over £80m. Cant see the club dropping massive money on a CN this summer. I am hopeful we get one in though.

Do we need a CB who can’t win a header?
