I didnāt expect them to lose to Sporting, but I did suggest to my mate that given their current form, they may struggle to pick up a win in their next 3 premier league games. Brighton away, Spurs at home and us at Anfield.

He is also in uncharted territory. He spent 4 seasons at a club he was a living part of, and by many accounts had reached a difficult point with that incredible side, increasing friction and outright fatigue. At Bayern, by the time he left after 3 years the players were openly pleased to see him go. He is in his 9th season at City, and apparently still applying the same routines. Even though there has been squad turnover, a similar state might be setting in.

They have 5 injuries and two of them have hardly played for them.
Weāve got 4 and 3 would have played a fair bit of game time (who knows about Chiesa), though when he was fit he looked a smart buy.
