Hunt is definitely within reach. He won’t pass Rush or Shearer unless he signs another contract after this one. Not beyond the realms of possibility with how he looks after his body!

As many have said before, Virg staying is probably of greater significance that Mo staying, although of course I’m very happy that Mo has signed.
I do wonder though if we will get a season from Mo, or even half a season, like the one we’ve had this season.
I hope Slot has learned from this season and will manage Mo’s, and Virgil’s, minutes better, particularly with Mo so he doesn’t run out of steam as he has done in recent weeks.
I don’t think that the two of them staying should change any spending plans the club has for this summer. We still need to buy and plan for the future now.

I don’t worry one bit about Salah’s professionalism or motivation, whether he has months or 5 years left on a contract.
Next season he’s likely going to have a few new players around his zone, at RB (or Bradley more often) and up top.
Hopefully our slightly new dynamics and balance will be fine. Maybe even better!

Ahh no, I absolutely think it’s worth mentioning. Means he’s given up a small fortune to stay here and play for Liverpool. (For a slightly smaller fortune, mind).
It’s nice to have players who decide playing for Liverpool is more important than riches elsewhere. Deffo worth acknowledging.
It’s not yet been two years since our actual captain went the other way with his decision, remember.

And let’s face it. Keeping Mo and VVD to new contracts (even at their increased salaries) probably is better than paying huge upfront transfer fees and wages to new transfers (with no guarantees of their effectiveness)

Slot was interesting in the press conference.
Basically said he’s known for a while that this was how it was going to go.
Nice that management have had that clarity and hopefully means they’ve all had plenty of time to discuss what to do in summer with a nice clear picture of who will be here.

I was kind of getting used to idea of letting everyone leave and restarting but realistically the chances of finding players who are better than those two over the next two seasons are slim, so its good news to get them re-signed.
