Real have gone back to being a Galactico team, signings the big names, not necessarily the right names. PSG and Barca are examples (albeit shady ones) of changing the focus to the team and are seeing things improve.
Last night has probably weighed against Real, but he might also see that as opportunity to fill the gaps in the squad.

The odd defeat, period of lower level form or managerial change at Real won’t affect him I don’t think.
They started the season not very well, then seemed to find a way, then lately dropped again.
But they’re not far. It’s not the Figo-Beckham-Guti-Zidane type of imbalance.
Defence needs some changes, their average age there isn’t where it should be and Militao is having some big injuries.
A few tweaks, more time playing together and they can be top again very, very soon.

So the club was not sleeping? Am shocked!
I was made to believe that PSG director was seen laughing with VVD and we are doomed after we lost against them. 
So glad both him and Salah are staying. We can plan a proper transition and we don’t need to make wholesale changes in a single shot the we had to during our midfield transition. We need their leadership during the next two years and hopefully we’ll have the next set of players ready to take over the mantle.
The spine of this team is going to continue. Onwards and upwards!!
