Who is who here?
29 goals
11 assists
Poor season all round, but still involved in 40 goals.
Essential to keep him next season. We canāt expect that return from any of the others?
Be crazy to sell ths amount of goals and assists.
Scored in the last 8 home games.
I would keep him, but if a suitable offer comes in, I would seriously consider it.
The comp would be this seasons group of strikers compared to next seasons group of strikers.
If our main men next season are Nunez, Gakpo and Diaz; and say they are backed up by Jota and Diaby for example, how many goals does the main group of five strikers score?
I doubt any individual will score as many as Mo this season (though if it clicks for Nunez he might) but the goals in the group as a whole should be fine to see us move forward in a post-Mo eraā¦ IF, hypothetically, we accepted a suitable offer for him and he wanted to go and play CL football elsewhere.
A suitable offer would have to cover Bellingham.
I believe this summer, there will always to be clubs offering upwards of 80m. Itās then up to the club and player to see what both wants to do. I had believed that the contract extension last summer was meant to protect the value than to let him walk for free this summer. Despite a 'bad season, he still score more goals than alot of PL striker would settle for before a season starts. He is going to be the subject of interests from many top clubs.
Love it.
30 goals now for the season and surpassed Stevieās number of 185 goals.

Id keep him, if weāve got the ability to strengthen without why sell the only player we donāt really have a replacement for up top.
Itās one of them you canāt really predict what will comeā¦youād think there will come a time where he completely drops off in terms of goals and assists & weāre just waiting for that time to come, no one knows if thatāll be next season, 2 seasons from now etc.
If we sell for 100m in summer and he goes on to score 5 goals all next season at PSG, Madrid or wherever, suddenly itās like āwhat great business by the clubā
But what you can say is for this club and the way we play, heās by far our most potent goal getterā¦and thatās even with the number of chances he wastes.
MO can look at the money Messi has been offered this week and know his big pay day can still arriveā¦ so why would he want to move from Anfield until that lucrative day comes around
Managed to hit 30 goals in a season when weāve been pretty woeful for much of it. If we can get the midfield sorted in the summer, no reason to think he canāt do it again next year.
Iād probably consider selling him the summer after though in the right circumstances, but iām happy selling or letting him see out his contract if the club are.
If someone is interested in trying to bag him this summer, it would take a Coutinho level price.
Much more. Elite of the elite striker in post-Neymar market. Would rip it up in any league. On long term lucrative deal.
Realistically you are looking at PSG if anyone, heās too good and young to go to that Saudi second division league, no one bar possibly Newcastle and Man City could afford him and I doubt he would go eithier.
He will stay in my view.
If we sell Mo this summer we will be reading about the forwards next season. On a par with midfield this season.
Cody
Diaz
Nunez
Jota
Doak
None of the above to score thirty goals next season? All with a skill set and massive potential, but to be the main man??
Yet selling our "guaranteed " goals with no obvious replacement is a conversation.
He simply has to be here in order to challenge, with another season for the others to mature/new striker sought.
Yeah tends to be an obsession on the first 11 and yet we had had 20 injuries by September. I expect it to be better next time but you canāt account for it. Only Gakpo and Salah have avoided long term absences this year.
Alisson?
I mean in the forward line. But yeah thinking about it it does actually account for the whole team
