Mohamed SALAH: 2025/26

There were some periods under Klopp when Mo also deserved to be dropped.

As soon as MO said ‘THE CLUB’ has thrown me under the bus… That was akin to firing a starting gun for the main players of FSG to take this outburst to task. To me, their priority will be how the image of the club is projected across the globe. I fear MO has bitten off more than he can chew here, and it is only going to end one way… The wheels to move MO on have just been moved through the gears.

I really like what Stevie G said. This is the best way to diffuse the situation.

What a bunch of stupidity.

There’s 11 years difference between them.

Indykaila, or BILD?

Both? I mean in this case, Indy (still not sure whether it’s right to keep posting stuff from that account?) is only quoting BILD and if it’s true, Mo’s reaction to it.

Even if Wirtz still has to prove he’s the future. But there’s a big probability that he will surpass Mo’s stay here so… to call him the future or part of the future, what’s wrong with that?

Right now we’re unfortunately a great place for inventing all kinds of stories. Our season, Slot, now Salah…

Has he apologized yet? I’ve not seen anything. It has been about 120 hrs since he gave his interview. That is a LOT of cooling off time.

I think the club (read Hughes and Edwards) are trying to engineer a sale of Salah. The getting dropped for 3 games is not the real issue. Well two and a half games. Having listened to pretty much everyone’s takes on this and all the theories, this is the only one that makes sense to me. That’s why Mo said he’s being thrown under the bus by the club.
He wants to stay and I don’t think he has any issue fighting for his spot. The players know this too and so does Slot but ultimately they are all employed by Hughes and Edwards so they have to toe the company line.

Gorst explicitly asked him if he was referring to Hughes and was about the testiest Salah got in the whole exchange saying not to put words in his mouth. It’s not like he was afraid of calling Slot out by name so why would he make a point of not doing so with Hughes if that was his position?

That’s the frustration with Mo. He can be very direct when he wants to be, but is fine being ambiguous like this as well when it suits him. This purposeful ambiguity in a public comment clearly designed to shake branches is to me the thing that makes me least inclined to cut him slack over it.

Bild’s claim wasn’t ridiculous enough from the beginning, we needed a clarifying post by fucking Indykaila to dismiss it as bullshit?

What the hell is going on here?

So, what do we think? Is he going to be in the team for Saturday? If not, will be still be a Liverpool player by the end of AFCON?

I suspect that he won’t be selected for Saturday and he’ll get sent to AFCON. Whether he’s with us afterwards depends on the rest of our January window, including whether we sign Semenyo.

I am trying to stay positive and think Arne and Mo will sort out their differences.

If hes not at the stadium Saturday, i would say this has been decided above Slot and he probably wont be coming back.

I doubt they would stop him from going to the match. Mo has already said he has invited family to go, so I would expect him to turn up anyway if they tried.

Yeah i get that but Mo said that in an interview where he is slating Slot and someone who he says wants him out, im sure during these discussions that would have come to light of who that was meant to be, and if its hughes / Edwards…and they decide to get rid , they would have the right to tell him not to come as they would know he would add further petrol to the fire in front of the crowd …just my opinion but we will see, personally i think nothing will happen .
