Same number as David silva
4 goal contributions since returning from AFCON. He’s flying.
Needs one more to pass Gerrard in the Liverpool PL record and we know football didn’t exist before then.
Thanks for pointing this out. We can all see he’s not what he was, but he has come back from AFCON and is as dedicated as ever.
It’s a long shot, but I would love to see him sign off holding Old Big Ears aloft, grinning from ear to ear with the adoration of all the fans his last memory.
I actually liked some of his inswinging corners from the right this season. He manages to generate a decent combination of accuracy, power and swerve. Think he’s got at least two assists from them now?
Just as I praised some of his corners, last night he took at least 3 very poor ones.

But up to 7 goals and 8 assists so far this season, 2+4 since he returned from Africa. Though also lucky the ref didn’t think he fouled Kadioglu before winning the penalty.
Couldn’t resist smiling yesterday when he got brought off?
Very funny…
Maybe he knew what was coming ![]()
I’m not fully sure what was behind Mo smiling so much, but just want to offer the observation that a smile isn’t necessarily all it appears to be, at face value.
It might serve as a bit of a mask, maybe to hide your frustration at not playing well, or maybe to mask the growing feeling that your powers are waning?
Some players might eff and blind their way through, but a polite religious type, like Mo, might instead prefer to smile … but there’s a lot going on in his head behind that smile.
Salah smiles all the time. Particularly big smiles when he misses a sitter. It’s his reaction to many adverse situations. Really nothing to note here.
It’s a nothing burger. I do not see anything wrong with Salah with that little smile (or grimace) of his while being sub’ed off. Perhaps people want to see Mo’s anger and frustration when taken off?
After that great right footed cross to the river Trent, yeah…

Maybe that’s exactly his way (or one of) to be angry and frustrated.
God forbid a normal reaction to getting subbed off, without a special post-match interview or sarcasm/cynicism.

Well that accounts for his wages. He spends it all on Brasso.
If he keeps at it he could be a tidy player one day
Where’s the Kop’s golden Samba?
