Mohamed SALAH: 2025/26

And I tell yer, honestly, I will love it if we beat Brentford on Sunday

This season is beyond recovering … it’s gonna take a long time to get over this one.

I think an airplane might be the icing on the cake though, it would just add to media meltdown :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

i agree Mo should have won more fouls,
but i’m not of the opinion that he didnt get more due to him been a Muslim or non English.

incidentally, of the 5 footballers who were fouled the most in the EPL this season 3 are non English

Of the10 players who won the most free kicks in the EPL this season
6 non English

Roughly a third of PL players are English, reducing to a quarter of players regularly starting matches.

We’ll never know the reason tbf. Part of it is that he is a good guy who doesn’t make a fuss, along with his team mates who are never in the refs face like other clubs

so its not because he’s not English?

Can Mo…become Manager…

@Wilkored08
No, not yet, maybe in 10 years. He still has alot of playing time yet.

I have no clue who can come and steady the ship currently. We need an experienced manager who is a strong but likeable personality.

We let Xabi slip through our hands and now we are up the flipping creek!

I just want someone who has the fight mentality…the ethos of LFC…and the mindset of heavy metal football…I might put my name in the pot…can’t hurt can it…

We did have one, called Jürgen Klopp and he was the best in my lifetime, but he left in May 2024. :frowning:

Steven Gerrard on Mohamed Salah’s post:

ā€œMo Salah doesn’t really speak much, he doesn’t really tweet, and he certainly doesn’t tweet like that. So I think that he’s sending a message to the outside that things in that Liverpool dressing room are not right, the identity’s gone and it’s really hurting him to see it in front of his own eyes.

ā€œI’m surprised, the timing, one game to go, his last game for Liverpool. He very rarely speaks, he’s done it lately because he’s bringing the curtain down on an incredible Liverpool career. But that is quite damning to the Liverpool manager and the staff in terms of where this team’s at.ā€

Maybe he got fed up with comments like, it’s good we got 2 goals in a 4-2 defeat ignoring one was a consolation or some idea that some signings will make the team completely transformed.

Maybe?

Maybe he made his decision to quit the club on December 6th? The third game after he hadn’t started for 3 consecutive games. One of which that Liverpool won and the other 2 were draws.

Or maybe he got fed up after the Galatasary victory and really confirmed the announcement to quit the club definitively on March 24th?

Or maybe Slot completely lost the fucking plot saying yesterday that it’s good we got 2 goals against Villa after they beat us really convincingly?

Wirtz, TAA and Diaz have added likes to Salah’s post.

Honest question here but do you think Mo’s post with one game to go is a worse ā€˜distraction’ than the manager openly talking about how he will fix everything next season multiple times and thus making it feel like the remaining games don’t really matter much - when we still hadn’t secured CL qualification for next season?

Because I would imagine if we were playing more than a few of us would be wondering why the manager has seemingly written off the season when we had something to play for.

My honest answer is mate that the manager is waiting to be replaced and paid off in compensation. And the only way he gets that is by saying I’m no quitter, I’ll fight to the end.

It’s a sad reality, but understandable.

We only just find out hours ago that Alonso is no longer in the equation. So our owners have to pay off a load of managers (not just slot) and bring in new guy plus team. And you know those new wingers people dream about? Keep dreaming!

I think MO feels we will get CL football next season, not because we will beat Brentford next week, but because the teams below us will drop points in their games.
We are playing shite and have done all season. We are just as likely to drop all three points next week as we are to gain them. That is how unpredictable we have become.

For what it is worth though, I read Jurgen will be in the stands to watch the last game, and therefore hopefully, MO plays the full 90mins. I am sure the old guard, what’s left of them, will want to perform one last time in front of their, and our messiah.
