I do think Salah at a reduced wage can still contribute as a Milner-like bench player, because even if we buy a new right winger we will still lack a backup, unless we toy with the idea of using Elliott as RW.

He’s not that type of personality. He needs to start regularly. Plus wages are a big issue.
We have to transition at some point and now feels like a naturally good time for both parties.
