Sharrona Holloway messaged us as she wanted to share her experience with our amazing fans about her day at the paradeā¦
I have been a Liverpool FC fan since the age of 12, Iām now 40!
My dad is a Chelsea fan and has been since a young boy. We are originally from London. When it came to going to the parade on Monday my dad said he would come with me so Iām not going on my own.
We went and had the most amazing time, my dad and I got talking to lots of amazing and welcoming people we have ever come across, I will attach a picture of my dad being looked after by the crowd in the parade after we had been standing for hours and his body began to ache.
We had been talking to a group of people for a while and my dad was going to leave and try and find a seat, the people we had been talking with would not hear of this, put items on the wet floor and sat him down to have a rest and then proceed to form a circle around him to make sure he was not stepped on, all while knowing he supported a rival team!
My dad has repeatedly said that he had the best day among the nicest of people.
With the most terrible of endings to the day (we were also only 10 yards away from the car that was hitting people) and our thoughts and prayers are with those that are injured but at this awful time I thought it would be good to get a positive post of how welcoming the people of Liverpool and the fan base actually are because as a football club especially we dont get enough of that!

Being a football supporter means being with your chosen club through good times and bad; I have followed Liverpool Football Club for more than 60 years, with all the ups and downs that are inevitably connected with sportā¦not so different from the Music Business! The pure joy of those on the streets of Liverpool on Monday, a city I have been to perhaps a hundred times or more, was incredible to see, as almost a million people celebrated winning the Premier League, with songs, fireworks, cheers, and happy faces, old and young alike, yes, it was fantastic. Yet one man, apparently in a hurry to drive along Water Street, changed the lives of dozens of people, including his own and his family, forever. Happiness turned to horror, and I wish all those injured, and their loved ones, a speedy recovery from their physical and emotional injuries.
There are of course terrible things happening elsewhere in the world, in Ukraine and Gaza for example, but when something like this occurs in a place I know and love so well, it has a huge and lasting impact.
