Clearly Dom as MotM. I saw someone on the BBC describing his goal as being reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo. Really? When has that goal hanging wanker ever played right back?
I also noticed Dom say that he hadnât had many chances to take free kicks with Trent in the side. I wasnât sure whether that was a sly dig or simply a statement of fact.
Anyway, I was really pleased with our defence. Kerkez and Ibou were greatly improved, and the whole unit held up well. If we get that right, we will start to see the players further forward gelling.
I had a glance through the pre-match thread and, in common with the last two games, our players are rubbish, we have no depth, and we are useless in front of goal. Iâll put the 9 points down to wishful thinking.

More than the doctor ordered. Not only did we outscore them we came away with a clean sheet.
Hey! @Sithbare something did change in the second half. Jones came on, a player who could control the ball with his first touch and play passes that others and particularly Gakpo could control with a touch.
Won the free kick that Dom buried.
Dom was really good again, our best right back by a country mile, on top of that he showed Rice how to strike a ball and win a game.

Terrible game of football for the best part of an hour, or whenever Jones came on, did a bit better after that but still didnât do an awful lot. Game was ultimately decided by 1 moment of genius.
