I respect Dom for making this into a proper FA cup tie. You can’t say it wasn’t great entertainment value.

We’ve gone from treading on rakes to getting in the car, driving to B&Q, buying all the rakes in the shop, signing up to the store card, packing them in the car, driving them home, laying them all out neatly in the garden and then climbing onto the roof, setting ourselves on fire before launching ourselves into every single one of them. Face first.

It’s walking football. Suits Jones :wink:

Someone in the Arsenal match thread said that we seem to rise (or fall) to the quality of the opposition. It seems to be like that here.

I actually found this a very entertaining half of football. Barnsley are giving it a go; I have commentary free coverage; and the ref appears to be vaguely competent.

A few of the lads need to wake up. If we could get a safe lead we could give Nyoni or Ramsey a runout.

He had been playing really well, scored a screamer, and had made a brilliant defensive run just before his ridiculous brain fart

Competent and refs do not go in the same sentence, shame on you!

Does the hard bit well, then, oh deary me

The more you look at it, the more it looks like a really arrogant bit of showboating.

He tried to dummy a backpass/drag back and completely furked up when he had the pace to leave him behind, both lazy and showboating

Szoboszlai :see_no_evil_monkey::hear_no_evil_monkey::speak_no_evil_monkey:.:sweat_smile:
I hope they don’t equalise :rofl:.

Yeah, hopefully a humbling lesson learned. Deserves a bit of grace given the season he’s had

We all love Dom. He is having a brilliant season. And his goal tonight was sublime.

AND he cocked it up for their goal. It was too easy for him. He could have ran away from the fella with his superior pace. He could have passed it in front of him to an open red. Instead, he tried to drag it back to the goalie, with the Barnsley player on his tail, messed it up, and it was a simple tap in.

In all likelihood he doesn’t try that against superior opposition.

I’m sure lesson learned and he won’t do it again. He’s a smashing player and I fully expect a second half goal as penance :joy:

Too easy at times to play through our midfield, Jones really slow in getting back today
