Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

Was actually hoping Brighton could eke out a draw.

Must have bumped me head.

Or what do you be growing in that garden of yours?

City out to match Chelsea’s score, 3-0 at 33 minutes.

Gotta stop licking things I find growing under the apple tree.

The Big Six my arse.

The PL should give back that fourth CL spot this year.

I don’t think it is really Farke at fault. Just the limits of the side, and Norwich don’t care to take the risks necessary to change that. Neither Farke nor Norwich seem interested in playing the grim, attritional style they would need to stay up - they try to go out and win most games. Seems to stand them in good stead when they face Championship opponents, but they don’t scratch out enough wins to survive in the PL.

To be honest, I really don’t mind them as a PL side making up the numbers. There are far less entertaining sides around.

I just don’t think he has the attributes frankly.

You wonder why they even bother showing them in games like this, I know they have to cover them but Chelsea can’t bring massive viewing figures in and I wasn’t going bother watching it.

Why not cover them against us and Man Utd and then cover them at home or in games with the bottom lot as the 2pm PL on Sunday or the Friday one that’s usually an after thought.

After the school bully took the dinner money off Norwich today… maybe the gulf between the top and bottom teams is widening to such a degree it can never meet in the middle again.
Too many teams in the Premiership are too happy to just bob along collecting the TV revenue but lacking any aspirations apart from remaining the fourth worse outfit in the league table in order to miss relegation each season…
Maybe a shake up is needed, such as increasing the drop zone to five down from the Premier League, and five-up from the Championship each season. This may make things a little more competitive, certainly second half of the season when instead of sides rolling over to the likes of City and Chelsea, in order to keep their powder dry for games against their own ilk… the owners of certain clubs may be a bit more nervous of losing their status and income benefits, thus, demand that the teams at least give it a go as they would in an important cup tie…
Or given the amount of games each federation is beginning to demand each season, reduce the number of teams in the premiership full time… this will help free up the fixture congestion…!
Just feel as though the game and competitiveness we know and come to love over the years, is beginning to get away from us.
The football governing bodies seem content to run towards the oncoming avalanche, instead of away from it!

should have been reduced to 18 a long time ago.

Sutton believes CH beating Norwich proves that they will win the PL this season.

Or, you know, be in about a 14-way tie for it anyway

Felt a bit sorry for Norwich after this, tbh!
How much money has Chelsea tossed around?
Norwich and a number of others will never be able to match it!

They have spent a lot of money, but they have also remained compliant with FFP.

If you want to stop Chelsea, you stop their ridiculous gaming of the loan market.

Schmeichel is a bit of a tool. Misses his punch and hits the Brentford player in the head, then tried to force him back to his feet.

Wonderstrike from Tielemans utterly against the run of play. Brentford was all over Leicester City.

Leicester look worse than last season but Tielemans has clearly improved.

Yeah, it was looking like Madisson would be the next one to go up a level in team, but it’s likely to be Tielemans now.

I do like this Brentford side but watching how they’ve played since playing us drives me mad we dropped points to them.
