Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

Don’t worry they will sign a commercial deal with the owners second cousin or something

I’m glad it’s been fucked off. I don’t want to see Liverpool wearing anything other than an all-red home kit at Anfield.

What’s the point? Raise awareness of homelessness? Just walk around any fucking major city and it’s there for all to see. “Ooh, my team are wearing an away kit for a home game, that’s really going to make me think more about the problems surrounding homelessness”.

Absolute bollocks and yet another example of the never-ending attempt to use football as a vehicle for one cause or another. Football used to be an escape for the working man/woman from the trials and often misery of everyday life, now it’s used to ram it down their fucking throats.

Dean Smith’s last game for Villa was against Southampton.

Dean Smith’s first game for Norwich is against… Southampton!

Norwich getting Dean Smith is a bit odd and raises further questions about Farke leaving. Wasn’t Smith sacked after Farke left Norwich? if so, who were Norwich planning to bring in before Smith came onto the market?

Fwat Fwank.

Frank turned it down.

To be fair I think this is a better appointment anyhow

First time it has ever happened in the history of Football.

Frank is lucky he managed Chelsea which means he can turn down Norwich who are certain to go down. Mid-table clubs or even Leicester will still consider him.

Here is the problem / danger for Stevie. If he fails at Villa next stop will be championship.

Should have waited for the Leicester job imo.

Good news for him Villa have good squad.

I agree, it won’t do anything to raise awareness of homelessness. Most fans who go to game that day will just be wondering why we’re not playing in red. It’s nonsense.

Where’s the Arsenal thread?

It is understood Hoffman is yet to take a final decision but an announcement of his departure is expected in the coming days.

Won’t it be announced in the program and over the tannoy?

I can fully understand the point that @jaffod is making though. Symbolism at its finest but there’s also harm in raising awareness.

If the players donated some of their earnings on the day and /or some of the ticket revenue went to an appropriate charity may also help. Provided of course the charity in question doesn’t have links to Carrie Johnson and spends a crazy amount on decorating the office and associated fees

Step down? It will be more like fly down in his new luxurious private jet that manifested out thin air.

NBC will remain the Premier League’s broadcast home in the United States after winning a competitive bid process by reportedly offering more than $2 billion for the next six years. The Associated Pressreports that the deal is for over $2.7 billion. Its previous six-year deal was for $1 billion.

Where is the NBC money John Double U?

Is this deal contingent on Mo extending his contract and Mbappe signing?

1,7 billion more in six years, that’s 280 millions each year. If equally divided by all PL clubs, that’s $14 additional millions flushing fsg’s account, or roughly 10 million british pounds.

Chelsea have started well, I can only see one outcome here.

Chavs 1-0 Rudiger.
Leicester with one of the teams that have conceeded the most goals this season, sounds familiar.
