Thiago Alcantara is now likely to be available against Chelsea. [@dmlynch]
Does seem like the Scottish football league have forced the clubs hands a bit more on this than in England, hardly anything on in England and only about 4 postponements in Scotland.
Viera was also tested positive now.
Going cancel it an hour before the game again?
Least it’s only a tube ride
Think they will try to push all the Spurs games through now. Already very difficult to find the time to play their 3 games in hand already.
They don’t have Europe to worry about now, so can be held off till March/April if needed.
They have two league cup semi finals and at least one (very likely even more) FA Cup Games.
It’s the only game BT are showing from the 3pm so I expect that will influence it as well.
Both of the matches I held out some hope for this morning now look much more likely to be one-sided. Leicester depleted themselves against a LFC second(-ish) string, while Palace sounds like they will be depleted and without Vieira providing active guidance.
Yeah and Villa won’t have Gerrard on the sidelines eithier.
We heard this “integrity of the league” all the time when Liverpool were 20 points ahead but it’s not been mentioned once at the moment even when some teams look like they are cheating the very serious situation.
Least they’ve done it early, had to be the 5.30 Ko mind.
Not a big surprise, given the state of both teams they would have needed some recoveries.
I dont get the anger our fans continue to have towards Spurs about this. By the time of the ultimately posponed Leicester game (scheduled for before our game with them) the authorities already determined their situation had sufficiently resolved and so were required to fulfil their fixtures. That one ultimate got postponed because of the worsening situation at leicester.
They played the system perfectly I don’t think we should have played with 5 players we had out and the way they were in that game they can go jog off
