Premier League 2021/22 (Part 1)

Where was Pickford last night?

I tuned in a little late and my first thought was
“Look at the arms on him”

How often Liverpool’s forwards are averaging a goal contribution this season:

Origi: 66.6 minutes
Salah: 79.8 minutes
Minamino: 89.1 minutes
Firmino: 104.2 minutes
Diaz: 122.75 minutes (*includes Porto)
Jota: 123.9 minutes
Mane: 175.3 minutes

The absence of intent doesn’t preclude it from being a red.

He was wildly out of control. If we punish players based on the level of endangerment rather than relying on serendipity to determine whether the play walks away from it, which is what we are supposed to be doing, then it is as clear a red as there can be.

You can say he probably didnt have any intent to injure ASM. But more importantly you can say there was zero consideration for his opponents safety in making the deliberate foul.

If there was no intent to injure he could have just grab him around the waist and tussled him to the floor…
Two feet off the floor… Asking for a red is it not

Smart Alec misses the point but ah well hopefully future generations find it highly amusing.

Wolves v Leeds live on sky.

Kind of shows why Leeds needed much more than the reliance of Bamford coming back.

1-0 Wolves

That goal nearly happened 2-3 times already

Wolves 1 up.

Nice move, good pick out by Trincao and Johnny picks out the bottom corner.

People forget Phillips.

He and Bamford are the instrumental 2.

They might be but Bamford especially is not reliable this season that injury shows that but so does what I remember from the Championship. They weren’t saving Leeds, Leeds needed a change saying all that I’m not seeing much difference under Marsch, however they may adapt if they can stay up and give him some period over the summer.

Man, so many injuries and stoppages.

At least Leeds can use the concussion sub if needs be on that.

They just have to scrape home at this rate.

Wolves again should have scored and Leeds might have another injury now.

What a lovely finish from Trincao. He’s been superb so far.

And of course I’ve 100 miles behind with Struijk picking up a yellow…FFS

Why yes that’s a gorgeous finish by Trincao…Leeds a disgrace.

That was laughable defending mind

Wolves are a very good side, Lage doing spectacularly.

I’m not even sure Jimenez makes a challenge there, he’s just running. Terribly unlucky sending off.
