Was watching the Sky highlights of Spurs wrecking the Etihad lot. When the third goal goes in, Ratboy goes “Ooooowwww”….he’s totally thinking that “Shit, Liverpool might be on to something this season”
He sounds far less disappointed when his own lot get scored on, the snivelling little shite. Serves him right!
At 0-3 down De Bruyne acts like a totally spoilt brat who can’t accept that his team is on the decline and has a petulant swipe at Sarr and gets booked for his troubles… Neville goes “City getting closer to scoring amid the scuffles”…less than a minute later Mr Big-Calves-Sideways-Dribbler gives the ball away leading to Walker getting violently shagged by Werner and goal no 4.
He’s developed a real petulant side to his game during this last 12 months or so of injury problems. That whack he gave was the 5th or 6th time I have seen him do something like that now. But I guess he isnt that sort of player.
Mught be a personal frustration at the way the last couple of years of his career have gone. Injuries have essentially taken him from the best player in the league to a substitute who often fails to make any real impact.
Alternatively, a more feeble Roy Keane. In the fleeting moments his aged legs get him on the pitch he does nothing but yell at this team mates and petulantly kick out at opposition, just without the force to do any damage
It was actually his growing petulance the second half of last season that made me think something was unravelling at City so obvious and seemingly out of character it was for him.
Talking to Bernardo Silva: Oh, you think darkness is your ally. But you merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding
