Anyone who thinks this was about what decision was made about todayâs team selection I think is missing the forest for the trees. Sure, Casimiro and Erikson in a midfield 2 was always going to get badly outworked, especially against that Newcastle midfield, but that didnt cause the defenders to just not bother.
