Looked worse than it was, but for a player already on a yellow it is an example of a ref having to work hard to avoid sending a player off

That shite infuriates me to no end. Referee the damn sport not the “spectacle”.

It’s about time Everton got relegated. Four or five seasons they’ve stayed up by relying on anti-football tactics and crossing their fingers that there’s three worse teams in the league.

It’s unfortunately a quite effective tactic and likely to help them again this season.

Yep, there absolutely are. Maybe not three duller though.

Decent waste of a morning

West Ham, Ipswich, Southampton, who else? Wolves?

BBC text feed just pointed out Southampton is now on track to beat Derby’s record for fewest points in a PL season (11).

The brutal thing is that Southampton is looking worse as the season progresses. Early on I would not have guessed they would be this poor, whereas that Derby team was visibly in over their head by the end of August.

The 3-4-3 Amorims

Leicester. Everton may struggle to get above 17th, but it would be surprising to see them fall any lower

Ya just got to love looking at the PL table at the moment :0)

Yeah I looked at the table after posting that.

This is actually wild:

I thought Lopetegui was stealing a living but…

I guess it’s too much to wish for United getting dragged into the relegation battle?

I definitely jumped the gun here.

He really has a bizarre CV. He has done not very much at some big names. Highlight is winning the EL (not trivial) but otherwise his career seems to have peaked as a youth coach.

I remember the whole Real Madrid/Spain fiasco. What a farce that was.

His career peaked at being sacked by Spain to take the Real job (if you ignore what he did at Real).

Arteta with some interesting choices again today. Odengaard and Martinelli on the bench while Nwaneri gets another game.

It is actually kind of impressive how Chelsea beat Brentford, suddenly were anointed the team that were going to make it a real title race, and have sunk like a stone since. Usually there is an intervening period of emerging doubt
