Premier League 2024/25 (Part 1)

Last chance.

Last chance saloon for Brighton, this delivery has to be on the money.

Decent point for Brighton.

Looks like there’s only going to be 2 teams sitting top with 9 points after tomorrow afternoon…

Poor subs from Brighton…

That’s 2.5 minutes of the 6 minutes ET wasted by Raya with just a yellow.

Arsenal 2 points dropped at home not a bad outcome for us going into tomorrow’s game.

1-1. Called it!

Arsenals fans angry with the ref, with no justification, and our coverage talking about the “controversial incident” the fans are upset about.

Fuck off. Arsenal have properly turned back into the shithouse self entitled club they were in the early wenger years

Arsenal next two league games will be against Spurs (without Rice) and City. Both away from home.

Coverage getting upset about the red. This is exactly the sort of cynical delaying tactic, with a defensive player massively out of position, the instruction was brought in to address. There is NOTHING controversial about it at all

Arses fans banging on about Pedro kicking the ball away in the first half.

Thing about that incident is that there is plausible view that Pedro was attempting to keep the ball in play so that the kick was a natural part of that action (even though he probably know what he was doing).

The funny Rice one has no plausible excuse.

I get the media is trying to get extra views but holy hell. This isn’t petty at all and was completely the correct call

They have a soft underbelly and this would be the best chance to get them.

Loads of time for Ian Wright but.

The system worked for the sending off for a change. Stop whinging.

Everton vs Bournemouth up next.

Up the cherries. Must win for Dyche surely though. Lose this and the vultures start circling closer.

That sounds vaguely obscene.

Yeah, they are so far off the mark treating this as a discussion about letter of the law vs common sense refereeing. Rice knew what he was doing, was cynically trying to stop a quick restart with him caught way out of position, and the game in general has made a point of cracking down on this.

Even the comparison to Pedro earlier in the half are not great, because there is plausible deniability about him trying to keep the ball in, throw ins are not the same as free kicks because there is another ball they can quickly grab to get the game started and it didn’t involve a player hopelessly out of position needing to find a way to prevent the game being restarted so quickly.
