I’m still looking at Leicester. Arsenal have a couple of potential banana skins around their CL games and dropping points in either of those could do it

Getting greedy now, but badly want the league to be won at Anfield on the pitch after the covid season robbed us of a proper celebration.

Yeah I’d like to win it against Spurs to be honest, it’s my birthday weekend even if it’s a point we need that will still be winning it.

Failing all that winning it in a match not while sat at home.

This is a very welcome surprise :clinking_glasses:

Here’s one thing that no one ever wrote in the history of mankind: Everton have taken four points off Liverpool’s main title rival this season.

That’s gonna hurt. Let’s see if we can win it by 3 points.

Everton tried, which was a slight surprise. Nowhere near the effort they put in against us, obviously, but they did not roll over for them. A draw was a fair result.

The title race has long been over, albeit not mathematically, but to underscore the point that’s another game gone and more points dropped for Arsenal. Their whole season rests on the CL, and even if they somehow manage to get past Real Madrid - they won’t, they still won’t have enough to win it.

They will have to keep going in the league too, or else they could get dragged back into the fight for top four. I don’t think they will, but they do have to keep going.

Moysey has been promised a re-build kitty, so their shite players, boxers, martial artists and general yard-dog players will be playing for their futures under him…
Aston Villa (dark horse finalists), will progress further than Arse in CL…

Can we roll on the maths then ?

2 wins and 2 draws is it ?

Do we still need the 13 points…

7 would do.

No we do not. 13 was the maximum we needed before Arsenal played today, assuming Arsenal win all their games to the end of the season.

They dropped 2 points against Everton, so as it stands we need 11 points to be guaranteed the title.

Our goal difference is much better, by 13, so that is effectively a point, so even if Arsenal are perfect 10 points will likely do it.

Now the question has to be asked: Does this Arsenal side have it in them to be perfect? Will they win their last 7 league games? Almost certainly not, based on what we’ve seen. So how many more points will Arsenal drop? I would imagine at least four more points.

My best guess is 7 more points for us will win the league.
