Premier League 2024/25 (Part 2)

Some of us are old enough to not want to be in the situation of needing points against Arsenal to clinch the league.
There are wounds that never heal.

Aldridge is down. Barnes is down. Dalglish just stands there. Nicol’s on his knees. McMahon’s on his knees.

When I try to relax and empty my brain of thoughts, this commentary still pops into my head all these years after

Thankfully we would still have two games after that one this time.

But not needing any points against Arsenal is prefable.

That would be nice.

Perfect would be to secure it against Chelsea the game before, forcing Arsenal to give us the guard of honour at Anfield

Chelsea match is away from home. Would prefer to win it at Anfield.

Nah, forcing Lego Man and his band of crying divers to give us a guard of honour would be way more enjoyable. To saltiness of the tears is something I could dine on for years to come

All this ā€œI want to win it on this dateā€ bollocks…

All that matters is that we cross the winning line. When we do it, where it is, whose birthday it is, is all totally irrelevant.

We have to cross the winning line as soon as possible. That’s it.

If Palace takes points off City then City finishing Top5 would be in real danger.

1-0 Eze.

Too early I think :grimacing:

Never too early to make it 2-0 against City.

Anyone seen Ederson?

City are proper shite. They look like they can’t be arsed, even with CL still to play for

Although looking at that second one again, that delivery from Wharton was absolutely fantastic

Do you remember in the 20/21 season when it was thrown around we were the worst defending Champions ever. I can’t remember this ever been labelled against this City team.

Very close to a third. A very marginal offside.

It’s amazing how much of this people are excusing away with the loss of one player. Much like their loss of Laporte they year they failed to keep pace with us on our title run

Looked very close, but nice to see quickly they came to a decision on it with the new offside system

I’d say with Alvarez in, they would have been in top 3.

Kdb gets a goal back.

Would he stop them concededing goals thats the issue. No Pep team has ever conceded so many and still 6 games to go.

All level now.
