Premier League 2024/25 (Part 2)

Wow, what a goal by Beto. Nothing less than Everton deserve.

Textbook Pickford. Wonderful save, but on reflection put himself in the position by botching his attempt at coming for the initial cross

So glad we swerved Lavia, what a waste of money.

He swerved us.

:joy:

After we refused to meet Soton’s asking price maybe.

That’s great work by Gueye. The big lump Beto again causing problems and Sanchez being Sanchez. Lol.

When England visited Montenegro back in 2011 ir 2012, I had the chance to watch England train. He was absolutely outstanding, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that sort of confidence in one’s technical ability. Flicks all over the place, trapping the ball behind his back, spring in his step… Who knows what kind of career he would have had had he not had so many injuries.

I’ve always found him a little bit underrated. Technically he’s of high level. Not a great goalscorer, but that was never his forte. Was always able to connect the attack well. No shame if he wasn’t able to be United’s first choice striker when they were still battling for trophies, but he’s a good forward who can do a few things well and seems like a genuinely nice guy.

What a goal Ndiaye. Thoroughly deserved win, statement win.

Dynamite. Show it to Cody on a loop

Could be worse, could be Chelsea.

I thought Villa’s performance at home to City earlier was the team performance of this season, this might trump that. Every man putting in a shift, knowing their individual role, defending as a unit, attacking as a unit. A properly coached team.

Unlike their neighbours.

Liverpool v Chelsea battle for 5th place

Everton are going to absolutely ruin us, aren’t they?

They could you know. They could make it to the Champions League… I am watching with a group of bluenoses and they believe..

The nightmare scenario is a distinct possibility…

I wouldn’t resent Everton being in the CL next season, nor would I begrudge it. If anything, it’s more indicative of where we are as a club.

I don’t care about them enough to dislike them more than the Utd’s and Chelsea’s of this world so if they can take it as the expense of them, happy days. We have no business being part of the discussion.

And yet we are which says a lot about those teams as well.

Joking aside if it isn’t us then I would far rather it was them…another team from the city..

Calling it now - if Everton qualify for Europe they will find themselves in a relegation battle next season.
