Yeah this really bothers me. I felt that Klopp was too decent and nice to be the face to prosecute this previously and I would like to see a comprehensive and relentless club response that doesn’t involve the manager - save for insisting he toe the club line and say nothing positive about the PGMOL ever. You know the greasy hydrocarbon scum will be oiling all over to steal an advantage; it’s time the club took a sharper business reponse. As anyone who has done business against a cartel, you need to take the gloves off and get properly nasty.

City’s fixtures from March is made for them to get into that crazy run they go through towards the business end of the season. Wonderful.

Nah that sounded like research! However even if I amend it to reflect this and, assuming we were a CL club and thus can’t draw any of the other three (which didn’t apply twice (?)), so reduce the odds down to 3/16, they still only increase to 11 in 10,000.

It’s 3/16 chance on any given year so 6 * (3/16)^5 * (13/16)
= .11% (11 in 10,000)

Tyler Adams went to the Copa with an existing back injury, played in all 3 games plus a pre tournament friendly and aggravated it so was forced to have surgery. Bournemouth are not reporting a timeline for his return :see_no_evil:

This kid is being wrecked

So more games AND more travel? Fantastic. Can see another legal case being drafted and landing on someone’s doorstep then.

& when he says abroad, of course what he means is in countries where it’ll allow the rich to become richer…the greedy slimy prick. Stay out of affairs which don’t concern you and don’t wish to be concerned by you and stick to worrying about how to tackle knife crime and homelessness at the heart of our country you dopey twat.

The article says he backs the idea but his quotes don’t say it at all.

He says its worked well for the NFL and MLB and he thinks its inevitable that PL owners will want to do the same and send the game to where they make more money.

What he says is correct, it is inevitable. We handed the game to billionaires - they’ll do what they always do and chase the money.

In some ways its the enshitification of football. Products should exist to give the customers the experience they are asking for or need. Enshitification was a term coined for digital platforms describing how once popular they transition to existing so the company can get out of the customers what they need to. The transition is pretty much inevitable in all products that become successful and are perceived to have more revenue that can be squeezed from them.

I’m surprised the Community shield hasn’t yet.

I wouldn’t be against it being played abroad especially if it was a fortnight before. With the Championship usually starting a week earlier than can just pretend it raises the curtain for that.

Exactly. The Italian and Spanish Super Cups have already migrated to Arabia.

By ‘one week’ does it mean ‘two weeks’?
