Premier League 2024/25

That really should be a red.

Well there ya go…

Arsenal can add it to their list of grievances.

I know one thing for sure, if we were under the same amount of pressure as Arsenal were 2nd half we’d have shipped 3 or 4 goals.
We have nowhere near their level or resilience.
Not blowing smoke up their arses btw, I absolutely fucking despise them and was made up when Abu Dhabi equalised. Them winning another title will mean fuck all, seeing Arsenal win it would be sickening.
The whole match today encapsulated everything that is rotten in the game. As for the sending off a simple rule change would put an end to the whole kicking the ball away problem - once the referee blows his whistle the ball is dead and anyone touching it in any way gets a yellow/red card. Wont happen like, the authorities have never had the stomach to stop the cheating.

I think we would have looked more for an outlet.

We found ourselves three times wasn’t it last season and I think we saw one out without any trouble, another they had to reduce us to 9 and one I think we scored.

We just wouldn’t have set out to keep them at bay, if we had yes we would probably ship goals but we would probably have sought an outlay. Arsenal’s aim was to get fouled on the counter.

3 or 4 goals give your head a wobble. It was embarrassing sitting 9 across the 18 yard box for 45 minutes.

What infuriating me more was the allardyce tactics on corners by Arse, how is surrounding the goalkeeper and stopping him from moving and setting another two players blocking the CHs from jumping to head the ball hence leaving mainly Gabriel heading the ball in the net, legal and not fouls?
They did the same to us by kicking our players and not getting booked by guess who Oliver. In fact Dias ended up injured for 3 months after that.

Spot on mate.

It was a good first half, bit if everything. Second half was harder to watch, but a fascinating battle between attack and defence. It looked like Arsenal had it but then Stones at the death got the draw.

There was so much snide on display it was unreal. In a way they deserved each other. The apprentice almost one-upped the master, but they didn’t quite close it out. At that point I’m glad, as it was anti-football from Arsenal - time wasting, fake injuries, the lot.

Neither Timber nor Havertz completed a pass in the game, having played 89+ minutes. That’s appalling!

Can’t stand either side, but there was a real sense that Arteta learned all this crap at Man City from Guardiola. Both teams benefit from a great reputation for being able to play football, but what I saw today was a lot of what is bad about the game. Shithousery, off the chart.

I hope we beat the pair of them, the right way.

Totally agree, hate shithousery to the extent it was on show today

Raya going down probably contributes to the 8 mins.

Absolutely didn’t get that in the slightest.

Arsenal were a goal up. It is easier to defend when you are a goal up in that situation knowing that you don’t have to make a play.

Against Newcastle, we were a man down and a goal down. We had to make a play to attempt to win the match and we did that magnificently.

Arsenal under Arteta don’t have the gumption for that.

Our win against Newcastle trumps this shitshow anyday. And would have been the same even if Arsenal managed to shithouse their way into a win.

Mac’s sending off was a travesty.

Virgil’s red card was harsh.

In both games we gave a good account of ourselves.

Spurs, everyone knows what’s happened there. Got disallowed a goal , none of their players got anything. And just about managed to win and did a lap around the ground as if it was their shining achievement

Don’t forget the Spurs game Jones was sent off after 25 minutes and Jota on 70 minutes.

I think you’re leaving out the most important fact: we held them at 1-1 despite having 10, and we looked by far the more likely to get the winner, even after Jota got sent off.

Spurs were/are shite.

Still can’t get the Haaland incident out of my head. Violent conduct all day.

Did any pundits talk about it or any papers write about it?

If we would play City next week I’d be disappointed if no questions would be asked from our side.

City are playing at St. James’ Park on Saturday. Would make a huge difference if they are not only without KdB and Rodri but also without Haaland.

How Arsenal play in those situations is of no interest to me, imo they’re a fucking embarrassment the minute they take to the pitch with their feigning injuries and shithousery in general.
But I stand by my point, if we faced a team having 90% possession and 28 shots on goal, especially one as good as Abu Dhabi, then we come away with nothing - we just don’t have that same mentality.

Even though I fundamentally disagree with this point, I still feel obliged to point out that we will not find ourselves in that position because we’re not the kind of team to just sit back and park the bus. 90% possession for spells in the game, I’m sure we’ve come close to, but not for an entire half.

Bwahaha. #115 complaining about other teams using ‘dark arts’ has just made my morning.

Yeah , not too much sympathy for those cunts.

The other cunts didn’t deserve the win though.

So best possible result.
