Premier League 2024/25

They’re always going to default to a foul

Newcastle are going to win this game.

City have done absolutely nothing besides the goal.

Safe to say that Rodri is a big miss for them.

The tactics is brilliant but they’re not calm enough

Finally FPL players can look beyond Haaland. The guy’s been a virtual cheat code with his goals

For me thats too simple an explanation

Newcastle paid the referees more?

I just saw it and I’m not sure what the fuss is about?

I don’t like Gordon one bit but where else is he going to go from there? Ederson was/is an idiot, end of story.

He should sub Trippier

In modern football it’s a penalty. But I have a lot of sympathy with the goalie. He comes out to save, Gordon’s mind is made up to go over for the penalty instead of trying to finish. If there was any contact it was minor and engineered by the attacker.

The goalie must come out to try to save. His other option is to stay on his line and offer the striker the 24ft width of the goal to shoot into.

Does that really matter? A foul is a foul, intentional or not.

MOTD analysis:

Liverpool player: dive
Any other team: clever play.

People will have their opinions whether it was a pen or not, what we know for sure is refs are easily conned…when an attacker is bearing down on goal 1 on 1 and the keeper decides to rush out to stop him…it’s a field day for the attacker.

I would have sympathies for any other team. But since it’s city. Fuck them.

The match can end at 1-1 with both teams being deducted 20 points for being unbearable twats.

Haaland’s been absolutely fucking atrocious today.

It’s the easiest thing in the world. Nudge it past the keeper’s hands and wait for the contact.

He’s been bang average in all the other facets of play this season.

Just turns up when it’s a goal scoring opportunity.

In modern football it’s a penalty.

I don’t like it, for the reasons stated. The striker is cowardly and won’t back himself to take a shot from a great position, but instead his choice is to try to win a penalty. He goes around the goalie, who must come out to close the angle and try to save. Gordon has form for diving, and if there was contact - I saw it a few times and couldn’t tell - it was very minor, and he made the most of it to get his penalty.

Modern football, penalty, but very soft to my eye.

If 1-1 holds I will be happy with the result!

Newcastle starting their time wasting shit.

And Gordon won’t get that foul had he been playing for Liverpool.
