I was trying to predict the best case scenario.

They all of sudden could learn the basics of defending and we might find a few quick fixes but I’m not sure if we will feels a bit terminal.

I’d bet more on City winning the title at this point.

Seems awfully early to call it anyway.

Taxi for Nuno

West Ham are rubbish or are Brentford perhaps a pretty good side.

Both are garbage but Brentford at least play with a structure that is identifyable.

16 shots to 3 what is going on at WHU.

But lucky VAR has given the score line some credibility.

Thought Brentford might be in real trouble after Frank left, but Keith Richards (as I often call him by mistake!) seems to know what he wants to do.

Sunderland also looking like a rare newcome that might survive this season. Refreshing to see. The league needs more of that.

Brentford have an excellent set up, that’s why I wasn’t as down on them as others.

I didnt like Men in Blazers when it first came on in the US because it was too jokey. Too ladish. But Rog by himself has developed into a fantastic story teller, and that comes across in his interviews making I think one of the most interesting there is in football.

Just want to comment on the title race. Miles to go yet, and there will be lots of twists and turns. A few weeks ago we were 5 points ahead of Arsenal and everyone was saying it was inevitable that we would win it. We are now 4 points behind Arsenal. And Man City look like they are getting their groove back.

Anything could happen.

On our end, the bad form and 4 losses on the spin really put us on a downer. Like everyone else, I was intrigued by what we just did in the CL. Granted, most Prem defenses will be organized better, but we still saw us do something that I want to see more of, as it could well be the solution.

Slot played a 442 out of possession. It looked pretty solid. Then in possession he played a 325, with Wirtz behind Ekitike and Isak, and Gakpo and Frimpong/Bradley giving some width.

Wirtz was running the show and enjoying himself. If he builds on that it feels as though anything is possible.

Two athletic midfielders, Jones and Szobo, both good on on the ball, held it all together in front of the defence.

If Isak is out with his groin, I’d like to see if Salah can play up top with Ekitike. The personnel might shuffle around a bit as it settles down, but this system was intriguing. It looked a bit more solid when it needed to be, and we had lots of numbers in attack, which is what Slot likes.

If we can get this going we might easily find ourselves in a title race. But again, there’s miles to go before that starts to get serious. In the meantime the key will be to stay in touch, while we integrate new players.

Gee they are rubbish - Bowen aside.

Chelsea score early but Sunderland are now level and if not quite outplaying them looking very dangerous.
