I said it before and I’ll say it again: there’s not a derby game in English football I enjoyed watching more as a neutral than Newcastle vs. Sunderland - the one where DiCanio’s Sunderland beat Newcastle 3:0 and subsequently managed to beat relegation was the definitive highlight. Just bonkers football and atmosphere.
It’s on then…. ![]()
Seems like a silly use of the statistics (which naturally only cover the PL era), given that ‘only seven times’ is also over 20% of the seasons in the population. Not exactly incredibly rare, particularly when one considers that we appear to be at the end of the era basically defined by ManC over the last 10 years or so where the winner really had to have 90+ points - a larger percentage of the population that the one the BBC piece cites. I don’t think Arsenal is going to hit 90 points this season, but they do have a very good chance of winning the title now.
Didn’t the authorities have us play 2 games in 2 days on two different continents.
Premature ejaculation methinks Martin lad …![]()
So they won’t be winning the CL eithier.
Don’t remember the ‘Invincibles’ scoring most of their goals from corners.
Perhaps Thierry Henry would like to weigh in on this bollocks.
Utd ahead after dominating a shit Spurs side.
So I watched the great Oasis last night in Sydney - best ever.
2nd gig tonight I walk over to the stadium because I live nearby. Bottle of red in the park. Listen to all the songs. Liam sounds good.
Get home watch Spurs v United.
How boring!!! Terrible match.
And just as I’m about to hit enter the cunts score.
So much for Frank being the next Messiah, the guy is an average manager.
& Simons is still a dud.
The rise of Spurs up the table this season is a very strange thing because every time Ive seen they’ve looked awful
Atrocious crap from spurs.
Yup, Frank’s been found out. Spurs are utter crap. Time to find some other Saturday night entertainment.
I think it is a bit early to throw in the towel on Frank - I just don’t think Spurs are very good. For the talent they have, I don’t see them as underperforming at all. They have gone from a team built around Kane and Son to not much of anything, having also lost many of the more influential role players from that side.
I see Frank initially set up the team to both secure and attack United’s right side, but Amorim has shifted Mbeumo to the left sided #10 position. Can’t remember if I ever saw him there. Spurs surely didn’t expect that.
Spurs will score 3 this half.
3 what?
Goals.
I may have meant half a year.
It is not quite clear at this point.
Great reflexes from Lammens there.
If a striker is on the end of that it’s 1-1.
Do offside goals count?
