There is supposedly some concern at City that Pep may walk away at the end of the season and Maresca is considered a candidate to replace him. I wonder if heā€™s trying to to make things as awkward as possible at Chelsea so they make it easier for him to take that role if offered?

That seems a little odd. Marescaā€™s track record doesnt strike me as standing out and for making him a particularly strong candicate for being at top side, let alone two.

Remember, he used to be Pepā€™s #2 so the people are City know him and so they are seemingly viewing his performance at Chelsea in a different light.

Pepā€™s current contract expires in 2027. Many things can change until then, especially as he doesnā€™t sign contracts for more than 2-3 years. But I donā€™t think heā€™ll leave at the end of this season.

No I think Arteta would be staying longer at Arsenal if he wins a major trophy this season.

Another season without a trophy might be the end for him at Arsenal but I still think City would go for him.
