I don’t feel good about this…at all, but I want Utd to win here.
They also had shit seasons with the same great depth of about 30 seniors… so it depends on many things.
Maresca did some filtering though and that has helped having a clearer picture who they count on.
But still, carrying for example 6 CB’s on paper is not something that you want, either. No doubt some will leave, especially as they reportedly want to strengthen in that area. I guess to have a serious player alongside Colwill when he’s back fit.
Seeing Chelsea competitive for those spots isn’t surprising, we knew there’s a battle on our hands to accomplish CL football.

Sad thing is the last month has demonstrated perfectly that if the squad could perform at even half its level we would be comfortably in those top 4 spaces.
