Yup! …that, and no fucking striker worth a shit. I’ll be there to see them, but the Dutch will be lucky to get to the quarterfinals.

Considering the points from the last few years that’s already a vital win for Sunderland.
Yes, Cherki and Reijnders scoring on their debuts? I’m certain Lijnders gave Pep the passwords!
Guehi starting v Chelshite who look a strong team.
Nice wall chelsea
Edit, foul given, rightly so
Such a contrast to yesterday. You can be sure that goal will be given against us. VAR favouring Chelsea will make them even tougher this year.
The foul.should have been a yellow for Chelsea
Possibly. In this case though the Palace player pushed the defender away from exactly where the ball went through the wall. Don’t think it matters much anyway, Palace seem to be on top of these and with the way Chelsea are tackling it won’t be long before they’re down to 10
You are assuming the ref will call these. Cucurella should already have had a yellow for the free kick but nothing given.
Finally ref cards Chelsea for a professional foul
Now the Cucurella wanker gets palace carded because he ducks his head into the opponents shoulder and rolls around like side show bob. Really don’t like this plastic shite
Chalobah skies a very good chance from 8 yards out and then carries on like a cunt claiming it was off Guehi when it was nowhere near him. A Liverpool player would have been carded for asking the ref - Chelsea nothing. These blue shite plastic cheats are awful
Cholboah playing is wild. They’d previously discarded him and decided they needed to spend 100s of millions ona collection of other CBs. This isn’t so much a redemption for Chaloboah, but a mark of how badly they have spent and how difficult it’s been for actually good players to thrive there
I miss the game I grew up watching, profusely.
When the game wasn’t all about corruption and match fixing, referees making it all about themselves, fans more focused on creating memes and parody.
It’s just shit isn’t it?
Kelleher concedes 3 first half goals. Oh dear. Looks a lonely figure…
How about that pass from Andersen though, thing of beauty.
Is that a new rule that disallowed Eze’s goal from the free kick ?
Apparently the goal was disallowed because Guehi was less than 1m from wall. On that basis, almost every free kick can be disallowed as teams routinely put one or more of their players on/around the wall. The officials are taking the piss now.

Not new this year, but pretty unusual
If, when a free kick is taken, an attacking team player is less than 1 m (1 yd) from a ‘wall’ formed by three or more defending team players, an indirect free kick is awarded
IFAB Laws of the Game
Edit: that rule was introduced in 2019/20 season (seem to remember we did quite well!) I can’t recall it being enforced.
Brentford defenders looked disinterested in the snippets I saw. They look a strong bet to ensure at least one promoted team stays up this season.
