His last 2 predecessors and the last sporting director oversaw some awful recruitment which has left Potter with a horrible squad and no money to spend.

I’ve also listened to interviews with him about what went wrong at Chelsea and its embarrassing how big the gap is between how measured and insightful a thinker he sees himself as vs how fucking dull he actually is. There is are real Rodgers/David Brent element about him. You could really see how his football knowledge (which I am assuming is impressive) would translate well at a well run club where there are good vibes, but his overall demeanor would very quickly come to work against in a situation in which he had to win people over and get them pulling in the same direction.

Problem is they will shift him on by the time we arrive. Wish we could face some teams like this early on.

Chelsea looking dangerous. Mind you, West Ham are struggling this season, and Chelsea have spent an illicit £2Billion so they should look handy given the circumstances.

The pie and mash down the East End tonight will leave a bitter taste :joy:

I think the gap between the top teams and the rest will be a chasm this season..

Watching SCO Angers, a lowly Ligue 1 team stretch PSG to the limit, only losing 1-0, with a mere fraction of the budget of West Ham…

Too many PL teams, relative to their budgets, are simply badly run, managed and coached…

The absolute fucking scenes when Potter is sacked by West Ham, then Amorim is sacked by United, then potter is brought in as the next United manager…

Lets not forget there is still the God available Gareth Southgate.

Now lets see everyone go overboard on Chelsea. Despite just beating a side who also got smashed by Sunderland last week. But Chelsea required 3 goals from corners all aided by a goalie who dreams of one day being as solid under pressure as Bayindir

Chelsea beat a team that were crushed by newly promoted Sunderland.

I wouldn’t say the win wasn’t anything but expected.

It’s late at night and that sentence has scrambled my brain MH. Too many negatives.
So, you would say the win was anything but expected? Is that what you meant? I think you meant the win was expected, didn’t you?
I won’t sleep now.

I didn’t expect anything less than that result. It’s why I’m currently £25 up… took a risk on WHU scoring mind.

Wow. The city stadium is pathetic. I usually never have started watching their game from kick off. What the fck is that hymn and why are their fans raising hands acting like having a scarf but not having any :joy:.

And why do they have Hey Jude being played without any changes? I know they change Jude to City as their chant but they play the song as is?

Always injured this Ait Nouri fella.

Good stop from Vicario although Marmoush should be scoring from there.

Haaland actually involved in the build up play for once.

This game is boring. Spurs looking how you’d imagine with the transition from Ange to Frank, and that isn’t a jab at them, and City haven’t clicked and really only play in isolated moments at the moment

Whenever the commentator mentions Ake, all I hear is “Can I feel your muscles?
