Excuse my ignorance. I know he can play midfield, but is he playing in the middle in this match? I’ve just switched it on. Seems an unusual place for him to be to get that shot on goal if he plays CB?

He’s playing LCB of a 3, the position he found himself for the goal was as a result of a well timed interception he made in his defensive third and Villa basically allowing him free entry to carry the ball into theirs.
