Hardly improved because too many new players just like Slot last year but at least he won the first 5 league games.
Watching the Spurs match, hate to say it but maybe we made the right decision letting Robbo go.
Also, Elanga looks a lot more than just a speed merchant. And we could do with a Nico Gonzalez in midfield.

Our front 3 should have been Ekiteke, Cherki and Jaoa Pedro for 160-180 million pounds if not for the incompetent Edwards and Hughes. Atleast with Wirtz it’s understandable but Isak made no sense - he was hardly fit and how he could have kept with our pressing tactics is beyond me. And now looking at the swap of Gakpo with Sarr I would assume why these twas didn’t gp for Alonso. Didn’t offer Diaz contract as he was 29 and now going for Sarr. Retards.
Alonso going with Malo Gusto in CM, I wouldn’t have guessed that one. Caicedo, James and Barco all on the bench.
I think Cherki is better in the 10 position. Unless you want him there and to play with 2 central strikers I guess?
Chelsea look sharp. I don’t think their ceiling is that high yet, but Xabi looks like he’s got them playing with a clear pattern and identity already and dont have any obvious weakness. In a weird season where lots of teams have issues, they could well end up being arsenal’s main threat

Chelsea certainly have a good squad with lots of good players. As good or better than ours, could be argued. At least more balanced. Will likely be extra competition for us this year, especially if Alonso is the real deal.
I don´t like all this full backs in centre midfield though. Managers trying to be too clever. Fortunately for them their squad is much better than Brighton´s

Chelsea´s defence still a bit ropey thankfully. Although it was Pedro Neto who charged across needlessly.
It could be opposition specific, or about having some real running power next to Lavia. Whatever the reason, it means Xabi has seen something in Gusto, some qualities he wants in midfield. Interesting move.
But anyway, Chelsea are looking pretty good. Hard to say exactly how good in terms of the structural things, the early goal obviously changed things.
I thought they looked vulnerable and shaky at times against Fulham. Not a big surprise, it’s early days for them as well.
Entertaining though! Good fun this, four goals in 35 minutes.
