Brighton are very impressive so far despite playing in Europe two days ago and they’ve got us next damned! Barcola had better be accurate in his shooting just to get a draw as I’m not sure we’ll be able to beat them with all our injuries!

Plus two days rest should help a bit though the competition is a bit of a drop off.

I knew we had dodged a bullet when I saw him against PSG he was shite, they kept prodding his side of the pitch and won easily.
Yes that’s the only thing I hold on to we have two more days rest than them and we don’t have to travel. Why oh why didn’t we not sign Gross two years ago.
I think fans become so used to periods of success that they forget that it is not the norm. We sort of expect, unrealistically, to keep winning , winning and win again. We keep having to change players mainly due to injury. The sides that win things usually don’t do it from start to finish, they tend to come on stronger as the season progresses whilst picking up points early on.
When we can field a consistent full strength starting 11 we might actually benefit over the xmas period and beyond, if we can just keep grinding out points in these early months.
