Heavy detonations in Kyiv right now:
I can certainly understand them. But right now, itâs probably still better for them to stay out of the fire line, also diplomatically? If they provoke Russia by openly supporting Ukraine and sending weapons there, it could end up in disaster for them before they get the chance to join NATO.
The whole range of Russian lies, fake news and anti-west propaganda that I donât want to link here.
This is now a collective European effort to contain Russian agression. ALmost all EU states contribute now, including Finland and Sweden.
It is then naturally that they mull NATO membership.
Also doubtful RU has the strength to attack Finland right at this moment with success.
Or they are about to blanket bomb the fuck out of the City. This is Putin. Its probably something nasty that is about to happen.
Why would they occupy Berdyansk, hold it, then blow up the port ? Why would they blanket-bomb Berdyansk when they hold it already ? Makes no sense. They have captured the town.
Cluster munitions on civilian targets. Horrendous
Victor Orban sucks Putins ****, so not surprised.
If Russia is finding Ukraine tough going, a relatively flat country with not much in the way of natural obstacles, they will find themselves in Finnish hell getting their arses hand to them. Putin has massively miscalculated here and every man and his dog now knows that the Russian military is not up to snuff
Firstly, it would probably take weeks to mobilize to invade Finland. They could easily fast track entry into NATO before that.
Secondly, the opinion that we should keep our head down and do nothing is the sort of thinking that got us to the point where Putin thinks he can do what he wants.
Everyone united.
This was a radar/comm site:
I doubt Russia has the means to wage another war. This one is crippling them.
Taking a breather.
Staying out diplomatically isolates them. Doing what the rest of the EU is doing means they can at least expect the same level of support as UKR, and Russian capacity is already stretched.
Even if NATO doesnât turn out to be the instrument, I think the EU is going to have a much clearer mutual defence role from now on.
Frankly, Iâm surprised that the present Polish regime is so cooperative. Probably only due to Polandâs long standing animosity with Russia.
I find the reports of discrimination against those trying to escape the war troubling and disturbing. Even in such a crisis, surely there isnt the time or need for this sort of nonsense.
