Flat pack bullies.
Has to be taken in context with the fact the ruble is expected to devalue dramatically. When you are on the cusp of a hyperinflation scenario and there are no truly viable savings vehicles, spending on consumer goods becomes a way of preserving value. That is particularly the case when the perception is that some of these consumer goods will not be back in the Russian market indefinitely.
Not very useful flinging stuff like that about without stating which minister or the context. There are some real idiots using internet!
EDIT: It was Bruno Le Maire, heâs a complete prick so not surprised also Economic Minister Went back on the statement however the damage is done.
P.S What gets me is this should provoke his resignation however just âgoing backâ on what he said is enough to save his job. This seems recurrent in modern politics and itâs shameful. Iâm at a loss with the world at the moment canât we ever have a bit of serious?
THATâS why SA abstained, they canât bat on anything elseâŚ
Very odd behaviour. Why would Putin bother calling Macron to talk for 90 minutes, seemingly offering nothing toward a solution?
End the thread. Itâs over. @Kopstar won.
Macron has, all along, kept diplomatic channels open and spoken to Putin at the request of Ukraine.
That is not the surprise - keeping channels open is critical. The oddity is Putin choosing to spend an hour and a half of his time to speak to Macron, seemingly merely justifying his own actions or perhaps bullying Europe toward a more moderate stance. The French making a statement that there was nothing he said that reassured us is remarkable.
This will probably lead to nothing but we will see.
But if anyone in Europe is going to be bullied into changing their stance it will be the french
Estonia is in Nato, so would that not be classed as an attack on a nato member?
