Considering the censorship and the lshit going on in Russia right now, I doubt he can come online first of all… And secondly whether he can be comfortable with expressing his views. Not if the govt is monitoring all internet activity as well.

Are the sanctions so severe that there is no likelihood of recovery w/o debts being written-off (by various entities) somewhere down the line? How will they climb out of the hole they are finding themselves in (and digging to get out…).
No, Russia actually has a very low debt/GDP ratio, and it has been managed down since 2014. As long as they have oil and gas revenues, they can pay it. Absolutely no one will write them off, in the vulture bond market buying Russian debt is probably seen as a pretty good play. Acquire debt at a discount, and wait a few years until Russia wants to rejoin the global financial system. Hell, Czarist Russian bonds were settled out for a positive (not huge) value in 1996, 78 years after the Soviet Union repudiated them, when the Russian Federation wanted to connect to the financial system.
But threatening to default will have far-reaching consequences, it is practically a self-inflicted sanction. If you can’t trust a Russian bond, you can’t trust the value of the ruble, and they are right back to Soviet-era barter transactions.
