Russian War Crimes (Part 1)

That’s incorrect. Much of that debt is in dollars and under New York law.

this is a worry. An excuse for escalation of the conflict beyond Ukraine / Russia perhaps?

The biological thing seems a ruse to escalate. Russia knows it will be ugly to take cities where lots of resistance is dug in. I fear the atrocity level is going to go up.

Where will it end?

Probably with a defeated Ukraine, carved up, and/or with a Russia-friendly government installed, with a toothless military, and no clear way forward to aspire to either EU or NATO membership.

That is unpalatable and I don’t want it to happen, but it is more palatable than significant escalation that crosses the nuclear threshold.

Arguably the Russian people might oust Putin, and arguably China might have some leverage with him to help it de-escalate, but I think it will end as I suggested above, and between then and now, it is going to break our hearts further to witness the atrocities.

Ukrainian protesters advance towards Russian soldiers.

RU soldiers fire warning shots into the air.

Ukr. “How dare you fire your weapons in our country”

Russ. “Warning shots into the air. Stay back”

Ukr. “That’s Ukrainian air”

Pro Kremlin maps of Donbas:

apparently our top boy is on the ground there now. I hope he stays safe.

yeah, they’re hiding those biological weapons in the hospitals, schools and apartment buildings you’re bombing.
