Russia will target other European countries, warns Zelenskyy
In a live address to Western leaders this morning, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for more support - and warned Russia could target other parts of Europe.
“We can still stop the Russian war machine, we can still stop the killing of people,” he said, arguing it would be “easier to do it together”.
“Because else, they will come to you.”
Mr Zelenskyy said if Europe does not take a stand now, Russia will target other European countries.
“We all are the targets of Russia… help yourself by helping us,” he said.
Boris Johnson, who was among the leaders listening in at the Joint Expeditionary Force meeting, agreed it is a “desperate, desperate moment”.
Responding to Mr Zelenskyy, he said leaders “must try to do more to support you”.
