Number of Ukrainian refugees in Europe tops three millions now… half of them are children.
Naturally. Many more millions will come. This is the greatest war with repercussions for Europe in the life time of most people on this forum. It is a unique crisis for the continent Europe.

It’s the rapidity which is staggering. Three millions refugees in just two and a half weeks. 
You are right, we’ve not witnessed anything like that since ages. Even the wars in Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan, as bloody and destructive they were/are, didn’t trigger such a massive flood of refugees in such a short timespan.
This war is on a much larger scale with far greater intensity. Full spectrum warfare between two state actors. It is many dimensions different from Syria sadly.
Admirable courage. If I was her dad, I’d be proud of her.
