Which no experts I read can understand why they did:

But what can I say, great !

By the way, I didn’t believe this attack was real when it was first reported (the 30 helos destroyed by Ukrainian marines). I even didn’t post it here (I think), since I filtered it out as being too outrageous a claim without photo evidence, lol.

Imo, he is right:

Abandoned “De-Nazifcation Armour”, love to see it. Ukraine has been hard pressed in Luhansk.

Not relevant, but Dr. Jefrey Lewis and the other Ballistic Missile experts I follow have been waiting for a North Korean ICBM launch that may cause some geopol waves for many days now. May have just been launched, but no info yet on type of missile.

Sorry for OOT, happened just now. ICBM launch is big news though, yet not relevant here so I will not post more about it.

I’m hearing that NATO is going to get involved in this.

I hope that doesn’t happen, other than supplying Ukraine with as many weapons as possible.

I think Ukraine is going to win this. It will be even more impressive if they did so without NATO involvement.

NATO will get involved more probably with more advanced arms transfered, this is the trajectory. But not directly. Never directly. Powers that Be don’t want that.
If you heard NATO will get directly involved, do you have a source I can take a look at ? I don’t believe it, just wanted to see who posts that.

It’s from US Army Intel.

But they didn’t specify exactly.

So you may be right.

Political leadership in NATO, which are all countries, would never agree to attack Russia and give them the excuse to use tactical nukes. Even if some experts say the risk is not super high of RU using nukes, it is their battlefield doctrine (to use tac nukes if they lose on the battlefield against superior opponent) and everyone is worried they will play the deterrence game to its logical conclusion. So NATO will give Ukraine more aid, more extensive aid, but no real No Fly Zone (which involves bombing Russian radars, ground base air defence and more). Direct interference with NATO forces is deemed to have an unacceptable risk of nuclear escalation.

Agree. I just hope that the Russians can’t use this info somehow to triangulate Zelenskyy’s position and target it from the air.

I agree.

However, the counter-argument is that NATO could wipe out Russia’s forces in Ukraine and their air defense in 48 hours, rendering Russia helpless other than their nuclear capabilities. This would force the Russian elite to get rid of Putin in fear of a nuclear strike against Russia.

I don’t think they are trying to kill him in an “official capacity” yet. When the coup failed (they were going to kill or arrest him), he became too much a symbol and killing leaders of state is a pretty big decision to take even at war. I also think they would have bombed the parliament and presidential palace by now if they wanted to do it. But even China would be hard pressed to oblige that. It’s a big thing to do, slaughtering the entire political leadership in a state. Besides, who would then negotiate with Russia ? So I don’t think they will do it. Not after the coup failed.

Or they would respond with nukes. We don’t know. No one will take the risk. They also have a lot of submarines with nukes no one knows where are.
