I just watched it live, really strange. He disappeared during his speech.

Yeah, any idea that the Russian people themselves are going to stop Putin is a vain one. Yes there are protests, there are some denouncements but the state has the majority of the people in a firm grip. The Russian forces in Ukraine is going to have to be defeated by military means or Putin’s inner circle is going to have to remove him.
