War related , but on a slightly lighter note ; Here in France they are now showing (Canal+) Zelensky’s hit comedy show ‘Servant of the People’. For those who don’t know , the premise of the show is how an ordinary Ukranian schoolteacher is catapulted into the Presidency by way of some Russian shenanigans , with the desired outcome of having a puppet to do the Kremlin’s bidding.
I don’t think the irony will be lost on anybody , but what the show does do besides is show the warmth , humour and humanity of the Ukranian people. It’s the kind of show you could never imagine being made in Russia under any circumstances. Putin is made fun of and I can’t help wondering whether this might have been just another barb in his ultra-thin skin which helped provoked this madness.
I hope this show is seen more widely across Europe and beyond and would strongly recommend you try and catch it if you can. And yeah , it is funny too !

As the war drags on, I am just afraid that Putin will order his troops to be more cruel to civilians or even execute them in public esp even children as he gets desperate to force Ukraine into submission. I don’t know much about war but I think Putin, if he is on the edge now, will be over the edge soon

Is surrendering and conceding to all his demands the answer? To placate and yield to a mad man is just asking for more of the same further down the road. The dice have been rolled and will land how they will.
And the things you mention, has he not already done?

He is but I was more on the line that he will make it more overt, instead of killing them in the battlefield, he will kill them in recording to the masses not unlike those beheading videos done by terrorists.
